Day three instructions
Close your eyes & take a steadying breath.
Think “open” in your mind and heart, and express it with your face on the exhale. Open your eyes and allow even more opening. Notice which muscles of your face come alive when your face is open.
Notice, I’m not telling you what an open face looks like. Open faces look different depending on the person. You might think open needs a smile - it doesn’t.
What does open feel like for you in just your face?
Why are we doing this: We’re exploring archetypal movements to see which ones we use and don’t use in everyday life. With awareness, we can make decisions about which ones we want to be prominent in our lives. Archetypal movements don’t start with the rational though. We need to access the invisible energy in our bodies to create the actions & expression authentically. We’ve all been greeted by someone who has a fake openness, we’re not going for that.
And, this exercise can help you see which movements are harder or more foreign to you. You have found medium openness easy. But it’s hard with your face. That can give you insight — you aren’t open with your face.
